Because of my role as Miss Vice President of Citizenship for ASACC ( American Student Association of Community Colleges) I got to go to Nashville for our sami annual conference. I got to plan the service learning project before the conference began. We planted trees across the city at schools that were destroyed by the flooding in the spring. It was an incredible experience. Our school dominated the project, Hands on Nashville, the group that we worked with, was highly impressed with our knowledge of yard work. We were unaware that everyone couldn't do yard work. But we managed to do the work in an hour that was suppose to take 4. We were impressed with ourselves.

I was so pleased with how the project turned out and it was an incredible learning experience to plan. Who knew planning an event from the other side of the country would be hard.
After the project the conference really began and it was great to be a part of, and Nashville was beautiful to top it all off.
